A great day for charity shop shopping. Found these two gems, some super shiny copper badgers and a butterfly made of feathers. It was very important that I owned them, obviously.

Civic Hall

Powering through! Wish I'd realised before inking it up that I'd made some massive errors in the proportions, still happy with it none the less. I don't really know where to stop with this, maybe I need a break from pillars and window frames - but I do feel quite addicted, this large scale drawing business is pretty great.

Leeds City Market

This one took me all day, ands its only a small part of the market. I associate this entrance with the shop on the left corner, where you can buy fluorescent fishnet tights and all things kinky - but thought it was probably best not to draw behind the glass.

lets go to the movies

Another addition to my buildings, the Hyde Park Picture House. I miss this building super bad right now because its showing Blue Valentine. I used to be able to role out my backdoor into this cinema, but now I have to travel 25 miles to the nearest cinema showing it.

plus one

Hessle Place was equal that of heaven.

more buildings

A couple of additions I drew yesterday for my collection of Leeds buildings. Manor Drive was my home for a year, a beautiful old terraced house on the outside, not so beautiful on the inside. I spent many of my morning hours doing a huge drawing of Opal One (my student halls) drawing the exact number of windows, anyone who knows Opal will know thats an insane task. After inking the outline I decided I didn't like it, it wasn't interesting enough. So instead I focused on just a section of the the huge structure, that holds almost a thousand beds.

I just found this collection in a shoe box under my bed, which hasn't been opened in 11 years. I remember them so well (little sad face was my fav) but I can't remember where they were from. Did anybody else used to collect these figurines? Did they come out of a cereal box?
